What is the Zero Energy Ready Home program?

The Department of Energy launched the Zero Energy Ready Home program in 2013. A ZERH home is an energy-efficient home that can offset most if not all of its yearly consumption with a renewable energy system.

In all of California, there are only about 180 certified ZERH contractors.

How can I make my home more energy efficient?

For most homeowners, installing a renewable energy system typically offsets the largest amount of consumption. Other options, such as energy automation, insulation, and energy-efficient appliances can also make your home more efficient.

What areas does California Empowered Energy service?

We currently service the entire state of California. We may launched targeted campaigns for specific areas based on needs and opportunities available for homeowners.
